People recently have been complaining about the screen defect called, "screen bleeding." This defection of the screen is specifically noticed on the iPad 2. But, screen bleeding was also seen in the iPhone and iPod Touch. Screen bleeding in the iPhone and iPod Touch has not been addressed as a big problem for the users because, it is not as strong and usually goes away within days. There have been many different hypothesis's as to why screen bleeding occurs. Such as, the smart cover. I recently conducted a test in which I put a magnet on my iPad 2 screen. I noticed that there was no color change or problem that occurred on the iPad screen. So, it is not the smart cover. iOS devices are built in two main parts of hardware. The screen and the back side. In the process of putting together an iOS device the machines glue down the screen to the back of the iOS device and from there the glue dries and hardens. The only problem is that the iPad 2 screen is larger then the iPhone or iPod Touch. So, there would be more glue needed to hold the two bases of the iPad 2 together. With more glue it is going to take a longer time for the bases to dry and harden. In the case of screen bleeding on the iPad 2 it is caused by the glue under the screen not drying and hardening. On the first day owning the iPad 2 I looked for screen bleeding and found a small amount of screen dis colorization at the bottom. The next day I did some hardcore gaming on the iPad 2 causing the device to be heated. Later that night I looked at a dark image in which I saw alot more screen bleeding. This must have caused the glue to soften and cause more screen bleeding around the frame of the iPad 2. So, now the question is "How to get rid of the screen bleeding?" I have heard that after a couple of weeks your screen bleeding should begin to fade out and go away. If it does not do this I would recommend addressing the issue with Apple and trying to get a new iPad 2.
